The League's foundation--Credit Unions Building Financial Independence--is proud to host the Exploring the Why Workshop (EWW). In this dynamic session, credit union professionals will participate in a deep dive into credit union philosophy and principles that will help fuel their passion for credit unions and light a fire for professional growth in their respective credit union roles. The session will be held in-person from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at American Eagle Financial Center located at 333 East River Drive, East Hartford, CT.

Help your employees understand the "why" behind their work to drive greater value for your members and organization.


The Exploring Why workshop is a training program that credit unions and system partners can use to help their employees connect to the credit union difference and discover new and better ways to drive value for your members and organization.

  • The Credit Union Difference: Attendees will learn about the structural and philosophical differences between credit unions and other financial institutions as well as how to leverage those differences to create competitive advantages in the marketplace.
  • Mission & Members: Attendees will connect with your organization's mission and purpose and explore the connection between your business and members' financial health.


This is in-person and there is no virtual option. Lunch will be provided.

The cost of this event is subsidized by the Foundation (CUBFI), and reflects a much cheaper price than getting this education elsewhere. Estimated at a $500 value per person. Event registration is open to League-member credit unions.
